Conditional logic

Conditional logic that reads like a sentence.

Show or hide fields, send emails to the right people and change the thank-you message, with rules you can read out loud. Free in FillKite.

How it looks

If Budget is greater than 500, show Phone.

Pick a field, a condition and a value. The rule reads as a sentence in the builder, so anyone on your team can check it later.

  • Show or hide a field when all, or any, of your rules are true.
  • 13 conditions, offered only where they make sense (dates get “is before”, checkboxes get “is checked”).
  • A “Conditional” badge on every field that has rules.

More than show and hide

One rule style, three jobs

Show or hide fields

Ask for a phone number only when the budget is big enough, or skip questions that do not apply.

Send the right emails

A notification goes out only when the answers match, such as Department is Sales → sales@.

Say the right thank-you

Show another message or go to another page when the answers match. The first match from the top wins.

Safe by design

Rules you can trust

Checked on your server

Rules run in the browser and again on your server, so a hidden field is never checked or stored, even if it is required.

No loops

The builder warns you when two rules depend on each other.

Works with every field

Text, numbers, dates, choices, ratings and more, with conditions that fit each one.

A conditional logic rule in the builder: show Phone if Budget (USD) is greater than 500.
A rule in the builder’s field settings.
